In broad and general terms I believe that all of Canada is Indigenous land. I believe in Aboriginal Title to the land and I know that existing Treaties have not been upheld in good faith.
In specific terms, however, I did not realize there are so many Land Claims being actively fought by First Nations today. Both regions where I am currently researching land related to my ancestors first steps have Specific Claims in research.
