Tyvek
LEFT BACK QUARTER - Millennium Trail, Private Property, Mississauga Territory
“I just want everyone to know that my people were kind, we wanted to share the land.”
I found this Tyvek, or “house wrap” in the brush along the side of the Millennium Trail. This trail cuts between the deep backyards of the houses on Main Street and the front end of farmland north of the Village of Wellington. You can see Lot 1 Concession 1 in the distance where the Lawrence and Lydia Goodmurphy lived with their son Solomon.
I know Loyalists came here because they were granted land. I wonder if they knew the Mississauga wanted to share the land not give it all away.
