The Bay of Quinte is at the eastern end of Lake Ontario, just before it flows into the St Lawrence River. Dish With One Spoon Territory is a vast region throughout Southern Ontario east into Quebec around the Great Lakes and down into northern parts of Michigan and Ohio. Over the centuries this region has been home to the Anishinaabe, Wendat, Haudenosaune and likely many other nations (acknowledged and unacknowledged, recorded and unrecorded) who I have never met. Indigenous people say the Dish With One Spoon agreement represents the first treaty made in North America.
I know Mohawk from Tyendinaga sold baskets to the Settlers. I wonder if the Goodmurphies ever bought one.
