These newspaper ads were posted by John Good Murphy advertising Lots For Sale in Wellington. Evidently Captain JG became a “land agent” for the Crown, promoting land to United Empire Loyalists and selling the “luxuries of life” to be found in the town of Wellington. Note the given address.
I know Captain John’s childhood home in Ireland was burned by Rebels and that he suffered the total Plunder of his father’s land. I wonder if Prince Edward County every felt like home.
